Drew Barrymore Talks About Taking Time Off to Be With Her Baby

It's been a banner year for Drew Barrymore. She married longtime boyfriend Will Kopelman over the Summer and gave birth to her first child, Olive, this Fall. We haven't seen Drew on the screen in a bit, and it sounds like that is all part of her motherhood plan. Appearing on Chelsea Lately last night, she told the host that she has taken a little hiatus from acting to spend more time with her new baby. Drew talks about the joy of working from home and getting to spend more time with her little girl.

Love you, Drew! When I was a kid, people said I looked like you in ET, so maybe that's when I became interested in your career, but it's wonderful hearing you say to the public that you are taking time to actually be with your child, and that you are using technology for what it's best for -- making a living from home. Although going to the computer can become addicting, if you plan certain hours only to be on the computer, I think you can create a great balance between maintaining your motherhood and professional outlets. Being a creative business owner, too, is a great example of how women can have more control over their time and their lives. Congratulations!
