Miss California Answers Question About Medical Marijuana Video

Miss California on a High After Winning Miss USA Crown With Medical Marijuana Message

The Miss USA pageant continued its tradition of testing pageant queens with politically charged questions. We all remember 2009, when Miss California Carrie Prejean was forced into the public consciousness after she said she was pro "opposite marriage" and against same-sex marriage. Last night, it was reigning Miss California Alyssa Campanella's turn to face the heat. Real Housewife Caroline Manzo asked the self-proclaimed lifelong Star Wars fan and non-natural redhead if she believes in legalized marijuana. Alyssa stumbled on her words a bit, throwing out mentions to the economy and the drug wars, while making sure to flash a bright smile. But we got her message — she's pro medical marijuana — and it was enough to secure her the title of Miss USA. Watch her answer now.

I live in a state where "medical" marajuana is legal and the "medical" part is such a joke. Something like 80% of the prescriptions are from the same 10 doctors. You can get it for stress, insomnia, or back pain. I'm pro legalizing drugs in general but the whole medical bit is a complete joke.
