MEET HAIR HERO ANDREA SWEET

As Polynesian dancers, Andrea Sweet and her mom have always viewed long hair as a powerful part of who they are. So when Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago, they appreciated firsthand the impact that the disease and chemo have on a woman's sense of identity.

That's why Andrea decided to turn the tables on the "hair as power" myth. By choosing to donate more than a foot of her tresses to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths program, she found a way to acknowledge her personal strength every day — while honoring her amazing mom at the same time.

Watch this video for a closer look at Andrea's journey to create a wig for a woman fighting cancer. Then visit the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Facebook page to learn more and find out how you can get involved.

Plus, click here to meet other women like Andrea and watch as they take the Beautiful Lengths Pledge!
